Someday Summary: Vias Campsite

My family and I have been going to the Vias-Plage Campsite for a few years now, it has definitely become one of our favourite campsites, and we always make sure to book a pitch early in the year so that we can get one of the best ones. I remember last summer, myself, my brother, my mum and my boyfriend all went down to the campsite for a few days, we were so excited we could barely sit still on the drive there!

As soon as we arrived and had booked in, we changed into our swim wear and headed straight for the pool. The pool is absolutely amazing, there are lots of places to sunbathe around the pool, including a little “beach” sectioned off at the back where you can relax on fake sand. There is a pool side bar, as well as a little diving board, children’s pool and big pool. Last year, they opened a second pool on the other side of the campsite, this one is seen as more of a “relaxation pool”, mainly for adults, although there were some children there also. You could define this swimming pool as some sort of paradise, as soon as you walk through the little tunnel, you are mesmerised by what’s in front of you. Waterfalls, jacuzzis, jet pools, massage beds IN the water and even a bar IN the pool!

We spent the entire day there, splashing about in the water and reading our books on the sun beds, until 6 o’clock came around and it was time for the pool to be closed and for our dinner to be served. One of the great things about this campsite is the restaurant, whether you want a pizza or just a salad or a full on steak and chips or paella, you’re in the right place.

That particular night, one of our friends had come to stay with us, so after dinner, my mum went back to the camper van and we all stayed in the bar. We sent my brother off to get us some drinks, and after about half an hour he still wasn’t back. Why, you ask? Well, my brother was 21 years old at the time and had attempted to buy a couple of beers, the barman didn’t believe that my brother was over 18 and had sent him off to get his passport and drivers licence to prove it! Honestly, I think that the barman was just messing with him because they’ve seen us all in the campsite quite a few times. Never the less, we all sat around and had a good laugh about it because my brother was just so shocked!

Moral of the story is, everyone in Vias’s Club Farret Campsite is so lovely! The waiters and entertainers get to know you, you end up having such a great time and meeting loads of new people from all around the world!
