Safari time: an African Safari in the South of France

One of my dreams as a child was to go on an African safari.

Having never been to Africa before, and currently not having any future plans to go there, I realised that this may be a little bit of a problem. But low and behold, my problem was solved right before my eyes.

Near Perpignan, there is an African Safari in Sigean. You’re able to drive around in it in your car, admiring all of the lions, zebras, ostriches, monkeys, bears, deer..you name it, it’s there.

Once you’ve finished your adventure, you can park your car and head over to the nature/animal park where you can spend the day walking around in the nature, admiring all of the different animals in their large enclosures.

Now, I’m really not one for zoos. Obviously, growing up I thought they were absolutely amazing and would want to go all the time, but now that I’m older, I’ve realised that there are a lot of zoos that probably don’t treat the animals as they should, or even give them enough space to run around. This “zoo” is different though, I wouldn’t even call it a zoo, it’s more like you’re going into the animals territory as a guest and observing them in a somewhat natural habitat. All of the animals have so much space to run around and are treated with the utmost care. If you’re interested in spending the day here, you can find out everything you need to know by reading the article about it in this link, and then booking your holiday home ready for the adventure!
