Le Chat Qui Pêche, Argeliers Port, on the canal du midi
Please do not sail past this lovely restaurant overlooking the Canal du Midi. The fish was large and very well cooked and many other delicious-looking dishes were on offer.
The starter I had was Croustillant de Chevre à la Pancetta. Warm goat cheese in filo pastry wrapped in Pancetta and served with a dressed salad. Very enjoyable.
The cheese at the end of the meal was a combination of English and French on this occasion and was a perfect way to round off the meal.
The family running this restaurant are a wife and husband team. The wife is English and the husband is French and their daughter helps in the restaurant. It was a very friendly experience and if you happen to be in this area during the summer, it really is worth visiting and very good value.
