Restaurant review – Le Petit Nice, Roquebrun

Being in the South of France, you’re always going to come across amazing restaurants. There will always be a few that stand out to you, and one in particular that stood out to myself and my family, is Le Petit Nice in Roquebrun.

Not only is this restaurant in an amazing location, looking over the river and vineyards, hidden amongst the hills, but it also has some of the best food I have ever had the pleasure in indulging in.

As you drive across the Roquebrun bridge, you will see the river down below, people sunbathing and relaxing in the water, if you lift your head, you’ll see Le Petit Nice overlooking the most amazing views.

If you’re lucky enough, or if you reserve beforehand, you can snag yourself one of the best tables in the restaurant, on the balcony, overlooking everything below you.

The staff are extremely friendly and of course speak English. The menu has a wide variety of choices, from steak and chips to paella, pizzas or salads, and lots more. Everything is home made and the service is definitely up to scratch.

Every time I go there, I order the same thing, because it’s just so delicious. An almond, goats cheese and honey pizza, to die for! It usually comes with a little side salad, to even things up. As you enjoy your meal in the sun, why not try one of the superb local wines on offer to go with it.

If you ever get the chance to go to Roquebrun, I highly recommend this restaurant. In my eyes, it is the best one in  the village!
