The Beauty of Valbonne

valbonne

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Valbonne, prepare to be intrigued, as it is full of beauty, history, culture and fun activities.

Valbonne is situated near Nice in Côte d’Azur, it is a lovely village with so much to offer. The old village is one of my favourite places to go, the architecture of the houses and the beautiful little streets really give it character. There is a beautiful abbey-church which is a definite must-see.

Walking through the village is a lot of fun, as you can explore lots of art galleries and museums which are open all year round. One of my favourite places to visit, is one of the many glass museums, where you can see a professional making glass figurines with melted glass. It is so fascinating to see, and if you’re not careful, you could very easily be standing there for hours, completely mesmerised by what’s going on in front of you. I’m sure that I also witnessed a painter painting a masterpiece in the entrance of one of the art galleries, which was equally as interesting.

The vineyards aren’t far away, which also makes for a great day out as you can explore them yourself or go on a little tour. The smell coming from the vines is like nothing else you’ve ever smelled.

Valbonne is so beautifully situated, right in between the sea and the mountains. The views that come with this are absolutely breathtaking, so you can decide for yourselves whether you want a day at the beach or a day in the mountains, exploring and going on little hikes.

If you’ve never been to Valbonne, then get yourself on Ryanair and book a flight this second, you won’t regret it!
