Every year, there is an absolutely fantastic medieval festival in the centre of Béziers. As you walk through the town, you’ll be shocked at how it is completely transformed!
It’s an event that you definitely can’t miss! It celebrates the 12th edition of the Caritas, and takes place on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st of May, during the weekend of the Ascension.
You’ll get to experience two full days of flights of raptors, big machines of war as well as the famous catapults, tournaments of chivalry, camel rides, jousting, and you can even have lessons to become a knight!
There is also a market available in which you can buy regional produce, there is also a medieval craft market. Actors will provide entertainment as they recreate scenes from the medieval times. As you walk through the streets of Béziers, you’ll notice a lot of people in fancy dress!
