Another “high end” restaurant worth mentioning is the “Table de Roueire” which is between Quarante and Capestang. Superb terrace overlooking f…ields towards Creissan, which is lovely for summer lunches. If lobster is your fancy then you can make your own live selection from the tank inside the restaurant.
Very clever use of micro herbs, and a good range of both formula and a la carte menus utilising plenty of locally sourced ingredients. Wine list to suit all tastes and budgets. Quite formal service but also very friendly, if a little more restrained than Bruno at “Auberge de La Croisade”! In our experience, always welcoming to children, with a nice Menu Enfants to match – not at all “stuck up” in this respect.
