Grape escapes! Luxury self-catering vineyard accommodation for French wine lovers

The Languedoc region of France produces over a third of all French wine and more wine each year than the whole of Australia! Popular names to look out for are Côteaux du Languedoc from both east and west Languedoc, Faugères, Pic Saint Loup, and Montpeyroux, Saint-Chinian, Minervois, and the popular sparkling Crémant de Limoux.

Provence is more widely known for the grenache and syrah red grape varieties and sauvignon blanc semillon whites and 10% of world rosé production originates in this region.

As a wine lover, what could be better than looking out onto the vineyards, sampling local produce, immersing yourself into the world of wine production and, most of all, enjoying the spoils of this endeavour right on your doorstep?

In this collection we share properties in well-known wine regions, some of which are on working wine estates. Many of these historic properties have been within the same family for generations and are now getting a new lease of life not only as wine producers but also as luxury holiday destinations. There’s plenty to explore. We hope you like them.
